Terms of Service

Zelos publishes rule-based trade alerts and trading tools. Its scans use a fixed strategy, score candidate setups, and — when a setup qualifies — publish an alert with an entry, stop, target, and reward:risk. Every subscriber sees the same alert, published the same way, at the same time.

The site also includes Trade War, a virtual-money trading competition (Section 08); the Real Trade Journal, where you can log trades you made yourself at your own broker; the Training Ground training games (formerly the Arcade); and community features such as profiles, friends, squads, challenges, reactions and posts (Section 09).

Zelos never asks for your brokerage credentials, never connects to any brokerage account, and never places a real trade on your behalf or anyone else's. If you decide to act on a published alert, you do so entirely on your own, in your own brokerage account, using your own judgment.

Zelos — including the alert pages, scans, scoring logic, sizing guidance, tools, games, page templates, and all other underlying material — is owned by us and is licensed to you, not sold. Paying for access or tokens does not transfer any ownership or intellectual property rights to you.

Subject to your compliance with these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use Zelos, and any paid feature you have unlocked, for your own personal, non-commercial use, for as long as your access lasts under Section 07.

You may not, whether or not modified and whether or not for payment:

• copy, distribute, publish, share, rent, lease, sell, resell, or sublicense your access to paid features or alert content, or any substantial part of it, to any third party;
• use it to provide a trading, alert, or advisory service to anyone else, including friends, family, or clients;
• reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or otherwise attempt to extract the underlying strategy logic or data in order to build or offer a competing product or service;
• remove or obscure any notice of ownership included with the site or its outputs.

This license ends automatically if you violate these terms. Once it ends, you must stop using the affected features and delete any copies of their content in your possession. Sharing a link to a public alert, your own public profile, or a share card the site creates for you is allowed.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. Zelos is intended for your own personal use only; you may not share your account or paid access with others, use it to provide a service to others, or resell access without our written permission.

One person, one account. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for activity on your account. Don't create accounts to get around a suspension, to collect rewards more than once, or to gain an advantage in Trade War.

Zelos publishes the same rule-based alert for every subscriber. Nothing it produces is personalized investment advice, and Zelos is not a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer. No communication from Zelos — an alert, a tool, this site, or anything else — creates an advisory or fiduciary relationship between you and Zelos. You are solely responsible for every decision to act on a published alert, and for evaluating whether a strategy is appropriate for your own financial situation.

Posts, theses, trades, rankings and comments from other users are their own opinions, not advice from Zelos, and are not checked for accuracy.

Trading involves risk, including the risk of losing your entire investment. Past performance of this or any strategy does not guarantee future results, and most scan runs are expected to find no qualifying setup at all. Software and market data can fail, lag, or behave unexpectedly; a price shown on a published alert can move before you see it, and any trade you decide to place in your own account can execute at a different price than shown, fail to execute, or otherwise not go the way you expected.

Results in Trade War, the Training Ground, Chart Replay or any other simulation do not predict how you, or any strategy, would do with real money.

Zelos never asks for your brokerage credentials, never connects to any brokerage account, and never accesses your broker's records of your balance, positions, or trade history. The sizing guidance shown on an alert is a general rule of thumb, not a calculation based on your account. Trades you choose to enter in the Real Trade Journal are self-reported by you and stored privately under your account. Any account you hold with a broker stays entirely between you and that broker. How we handle the information you give us is described in our Privacy Policy.

Tokens. Paid features on Zelos — for example individual scans, or unlocking a scanner for a set period such as one week — are paid for with Zelos tokens. You buy tokens on the site through our payment processor, Square, which handles your payment details under its own terms; we never see or store your full card number. The price of each token package, and the token cost of each feature and how long any unlock lasts, is shown before you confirm. Prices may change in the future, but a change never alters tokens you have already bought or an unlock already running.

Live alerts. Each scanner's alert is unlocked with tokens while it's live, until the 4:00 pm ET market close on the day it's published (or the next trading day's close if it's published after the close). After that it's unlocked at a lower token price until its trade finishes (it reaches a target or stop, or expires), and then it's free for everyone. A scanner pass unlocks every alert from that scanner for 7 days; a single unlock covers one alert.

What tokens are. Tokens are a limited, revocable license to use paid features on Zelos. They are not money, not a deposit, not a security, and not your property. They have no cash value, can't be redeemed or exchanged for money or anything outside Zelos, and can't be sold, transferred, or gifted to another account. Any expiration date for purchased tokens will be shown before you buy.

Earned and promotional tokens. We may give tokens for free — for example as a new-user allowance or for XP, levels, missions or achievements. Free tokens have no value, may carry their own limits or expiry, and may be changed or discontinued at any time.

Spending. When you spend tokens, the feature is delivered right away (or the unlock period starts right away), and the tokens are used up. Unlock periods run on calendar time from the moment you unlock, whether or not you use the feature.

Errors and abuse. If tokens are credited or spent by mistake, through a system error, or by exploiting a bug, duplicate reward, or chargeback, we may correct your balance. Tokens and unlocks can't be used, earned, or won in Trade War, and Trade War balances can't be bought with tokens or money.

Refunds. Except where required by law, token purchases and spent tokens are non-refundable. If a paid feature fails to deliver because of a fault on our side, contact us and we will restore the tokens spent on it.

Earlier purchases. Zelos was previously sold as a one-time Gumroad purchase, which has been retired. If you bought access that way, contact us from the email you used and we'll credit tokens for it. Complimentary codes issued before tokens are honored for the period stated when issued.

Everything in Trade War is virtual. Trade War balances, buy-ins, winnings, positions, profit and loss, bounties, virtual risk amounts, IPO Wars budgets, XP, levels, badges, rankings and any other in-game values are simulated. They have no cash value, can't be deposited, withdrawn, bought, sold, transferred or exchanged for money, tokens or anything else, and are never connected to a real brokerage account.

Not gambling, no prizes. Trade War is a free skill-practice and competition feature. No real money is ever at stake, and there are no prizes of monetary value unless we separately publish official rules for a specific event. A "buy-in" or "amount at risk" in Trade War is virtual starting capital, not a payment.

Fair play. Every player in the same Trade War starts with the same configured virtual capital. You agree not to use multiple accounts, collude with other players, deliberately lose to another account, exploit bugs or pricing errors, automate trading with scripts, or tamper with the site or its data to change results. We may remove results, reset balances, remove you from a Trade War or leaderboard, or take the steps in Section 14 if we believe this has happened.

Simulation, not reality. Virtual orders fill against delayed or sampled market prices and simplified rules (for example, modeled option prices). Fills, prices and results may differ from what would happen in a real market, and we may correct data errors after the fact. Balances and competitions may be reset, adjusted or ended, for example at the end of a season or if a feature is changed.

High-stakes and elimination modes. Where a mode puts part of a virtual balance at risk, the amount and rules are shown before you join, you must explicitly accept, and nothing is deducted before you do. Nobody is ever entered into such a match automatically.

Your content. "Your content" means anything you post or upload: display names, usernames, bios, profile photos, posts, stock theses, comments, messages, reactions, trade and battle cards, and similar. You keep ownership of it. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display and share it on Zelos (and in share cards and links you create) as needed to run the site, for as long as it's on the site. You're responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to post it.

Community guidelines. Keep it about trading and keep it respectful. Don't post or send:

• harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, or content that attacks people for who they are;
• spam, flooding, repeated or automated posts or reactions, chain messages, or unsolicited advertising;
• attempts to manipulate a market, such as pump-and-dump coordination, or false or misleading statements about a security;
• promotion of paid signal groups, brokers or other services without clearly disclosing any interest you have in them, or claims of guaranteed returns;
• impersonation of another person, trader, company, or Zelos staff;
• other people's private information, or requests for someone's passwords, account logins or financial details;
• malware, phishing, scams or deceptive links;
• sexual or graphic violent content, or anything illegal or infringing someone else's rights.

Limits and moderation. To prevent spam and abuse, we may rate-limit posting, commenting, reactions, challenges, invites and messages. You can report content or users you believe break these rules. We may, without notice, remove or hide content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that break these rules or that we reasonably believe put other users or the site at risk. We don't review everything posted and aren't responsible for other users' content.

Privacy settings. Some groups, theses and profiles can be private or friends-only. Only share what you're comfortable with; people you share with could copy it.

• Reading each alert and deciding whether to act on it is entirely up to you.
• You are responsible for placing, sizing, and monitoring any trade you decide to make in your own brokerage account — Zelos plays no part in any of it.
• You are responsible for evaluating whether a published alert fits your own financial situation, and for consulting a licensed professional if you want advice tailored to it.
• You will follow the community guidelines and fair-play rules above.
• You will not use Zelos in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of any third party, or try to break, overload, or get around the security of the site.

Zelos is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that any scan will identify a profitable setup, that a price shown on the site is current or will still be available if you act on it, that market data is complete or accurate, or that the service will be available at any particular time.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zelos and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any trading losses, lost profits, or lost opportunity, arising from your use of Zelos, including any trade you decide to place based on a published alert, a tool, or another user's content. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to Zelos will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Zelos after a change means you accept the updated terms.

You may stop using Zelos at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access — including paid access and access granted through a complimentary code — if we believe you've violated these terms (including the license, token, fair-play and community rules above) or used the service in a way that creates risk for us or other users. If your account is closed for a violation, unused tokens and unlocks are forfeited, except where the law says otherwise. If we close the service or a paid feature for reasons that aren't your fault, we'll give reasonable notice where we can.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts unless we agree otherwise in writing. This doesn't take away any rights you have under the consumer laws of the place you live that can't be waived by contract.

This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — things like which pages are viewed and how many people visit. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. We don't use this data to identify you personally, we don't show ads, and it isn't connected to your brokerage account or your Zelos alerts.

If you're visiting from the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, analytics cookies stay off unless you choose Allow analytics in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of the page. Declining won't affect your ability to use Zelos. Storage the site needs to work — keeping you signed in, your theme, and your Trade War account and settings saved in your browser — is always on. More detail is in our Privacy Policy.
